Lowen Media was created by Amy Michael to focus in on the happy moments that happen everyday.
Whether it's on your favourite beach, your usual weekend woodland picnic or simply in the comfort of your own home, we all share moments in places that we are so familiar with, that hold special memories for us. My aim is to capture those moments that fly past without a second thought of how special they really are, and make them something that you will cherish forever. One day these moments will be harder to make time for, which is why it's so important to take notice of what you have today.
I strongly believe that creating a relaxed and happy atmosphere is so important in order to capture natural, beautiful images. So I won't ask you to sit somewhere, pose and force a smile, as I know this is just what scares smiles away. Instead, I will give you enough direction so that you know what to do, but not so much that you feel uncomfortable. Children need a certain amount of direction, but not so much that it stifles their characters, and the same goes for adults.
Whether you'd like some photos with your partner in the location you got engaged, a newborn session in your own home, or a tea party in the woods or even at the bottom of your garden! Let's turn the moments that you feel sum up you and your loved ones, into timeless images that you can keep forever.

Pre-Shoot Consultation
This is where the experience really begins to be tailored to you. Getting to know each other before the shoot is important. It's all about being comfortable in each others company and this is a great start in order to break the ice. You have the chance to ask any questions about the shoot, (eg. what to wear, what to bring along) We will determine the special location of your session, whether it be at your own home, in the park or woods, and we can paint a clear picture of what to expect. Along with information about any artwork that you'd like at the end of it all.
Photo Session
We will meet at your chosen location and spend an hour making beautiful imagery. Capturing those special moments in an environment that you love. I am extremely experienced with working with a multitude of different personalities and I have met a good few people who hate having their photo taken, and have them change their view by the end of the experience.
Viewing
The viewing will take place online, I will create a personal password-protected gallery of your images ready for you to view, share and download all in one place.
Receiving your artwork
All orders will be delivered straight to your computer or to your door, It can take up to 3-5 weeks from the order date to receive your products, so if you have any important dates on the horizon, make sure you book your session in good time.
I keep bookings to approximately two per week in order to spend the optimum amount of time on each client and their images and to allow for date changes due to inclement weather. I tend to get booked up quite quickly about a month or two in advance, so you will need to get into contact as soon as possible in order to secure your session.

A Glimpse Into A Family Session
On a beautiful autumn evening last week, just as the sun was deciding to set behind the headland, I spent an hour with an amazing family. Full of character and big personalities there were rare moments of stillness. Daniel and Chloe lived on St Michael's mount for a good number of years with views of the mainland of Marazion and Mounts Bay. Two of their children were born on the island. They have now settled for a more convenient life in Marazion. Now they get to enjoy the beautiful beach and marshland right on their doorstep with the view of their old home out in the sea. Choosing Marazion beach as the backdrop for their session was perfect as this is where the children have spent so much of their childhood. These are just a select few photos from their session that show how naturally amazing each individual is. I loved shooting this family, as not only are they such an interesting bunch, with Darwin the dog, who completes such a special family, bursting with life.
